miCab: LED advertising signages for Cebu taxis

Homegrown tech startup <b><u>miCab</u></b>, known for its locally-developed and low-cost taxi dispatching app for the riding public, in a press briefing yesterday, (July 29, 2015) launched its LED outdoor advertising signages for taxi cabs operating in Cebu.<br />
<br />
<b><i>“MiCab is not only an app for dispatching cabs through your mobile gadgets. MiCab is also an advertising platform and fleet management platform software for transport and logistics companies,”</i></b> said miCab founder Eddie Ybañez.<br />
<br />
Even before the launching of the LED signages, the miCab app in a 7-inch tablet used by cab drivers also doubles as an indoor advertising platform that displays ads while the taxi passengers are en route to their destinations.<br />

This is now extended outdoors for passersby and commuters on the road with the LED signage, which features a location-based and GPS-powered interface as well as an automated ad management system.<br />
<br />
“The tablet and LED signage advertising platforms by miCab offers extra revenue opportunities for taxi and other transport operators. Our advertising feature also helps companies get closer to their intended market,” said Ybañez.<br />
<br />
MiCab’s LED screens can be availed of by interested advertisers for only P2,000 per slot per month with 30 ad slots per taxi unit.<br />

New iOS platform<br />

Also introduced during the press briefing is the new miCab mobile platform for iOS. MiCab was previously only available for Android phones. Unlike other taxi hailing apps, miCab is also known for providing the only SMS-enabled bookings.<br />
<br />
MiCab has featured prominently for its low booking fees at only P10 on top of the regular meter rate while ensuring a convenient, easy, and secure ride. MiCab moreover installs free WiFi in its partner taxis as an additional service for passengers.<br />
<br />
“You don’t have to wait in long lines on taxi stands or endure the heat or bad weather by the road just to hail a cab. With miCab, hailing a cab is as simple as using your mobile gadgets with or without internet connection,” said Ybañez.<br />
<br />
Operators of limousine services, car rental, and other logistics and transportation businesses can also avail of miCab as a service platform for fleet management.<br />

Though I know that there are a lot of pedophiles nowadays which made me not surprised about it. I have heard worse and so, I didn't really care. To those who didn't know who the victim is; Anndrew Blythe Daguio Goroztiza, Andrea’s real and full name whose 12 year-old started as a main cast of “Going Bulilit”, Philippine TV’s longest running kiddie variety show aired by ABS-CBN. She became more famous for starring a 2013 primetime soap opera entitled “Annaliza”. </span></div>

Report also said that ABS-CBN talent manager and employee posted on a female site forum claiming that she has a 12 year-old 'Going Bulilit' talent who has a scandal. The alleged talent manager however, didn’t drop any name for security purpose. The video was purportedly taped by the young actress herself showing her private parts. Although, copy had been removed on major video uploading sites as of press time. But, there’s a big possibility that some netizens were already able to save copies of the scandal for personal intentions or worse, for malicious dissemination. On Friday morning, 'Andrea Brillantes' became the no. 1 trending topic in the microblogging site Twitter. </span></div>

No, I am not a fan of Andrea Brillantes but, I am one of those who is wishing for the people to respect Andrea and her family. </span></div>

I'm sorry if I sound too rude but, I think what <b>Coleen Garcia's</b> grandmom did was more rude. Well, I don't know the whole story really so might as well just share it to you.<br />

Just today, @jejeromemalvar posten on his Instagram account a message addressing to Coleen regarding the inhumane behaviour of Coleen Garcia's grandmom. And I quote:<br />

This news saddens me so much knowing that he is the breadwinner of the family. But, who am I to blame the other party when I, myself, do not know the whole story. Moreover, one concerned netizen did comment on the said post and @jejeromemalvar replied, and I quote:<br />

There are really times that no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves to not believe in everything that we hear but, we are only human beings and we are sometimes, gullible. Upon reading everything and hearing what the people had to say, I thought to myself that eventhough Coleen's party will deny this (which is most likely to happen since she is a celebrity), we shouldn't be doing something like this to our fellowmmen.<br />

To my fellowmen, let us at the least be mindful of all our doings. No matter how hard people try to mock us or no matter how <b>RUDE</b> they become, we might wish to at the least think first of what we will be doing since, this might cause something like this which is just so saddening. Coleen Garcia is supposed to be a great role model since she is a public figure but, I don't know why this happened. <b>But, NO JUDGE.</b><br />
